The cost of student visa for Canada is approximately CAD 150.
Cost of health insurance
It is mandatory for all students travelling to Canada to get medical insurance before the start of their program. Health insurance for international students varies from location to location, and it also depends upon the insurance firm. As per the Canada Insurance Plan, the average yearly premium for obtaining a health insurance ranges from $600 CAD to $900 CAD.
Cost of living
To obtain your student visa, you will be required to provide evidence of financial documents outlining that you have sufficient funds to meet your financial needs, while studying in Canada. Overseas Grad will guide you on these requirements and rules around the evidence to cover the costs of your stay, study and living expenses. You will be required to provide your proof of funds in the following extent:
Cost for student only – You will be required to provide proof of funds in the following manner –
- Proof of funds for your tuition fees
- Proof of funds showing the 12-month living costs for students which is CAD $10,000
Cost for partner and child – In addition to the proof of funds for students, you will have to show the below funds for your partner and child.
- CAD $4,000 amounts of funds required per year for First family member
- CAD $3,000 amounts of funds required per year for every additional accompanying family member
