Cost of education depends on the course and university that you choose to study from. We have collated the average fee information for you in the below table.

Cost of Student Visa

The cost of student visa for UK is approximately £348.

Cost of Healthcare surcharge

It is compulsory for every student to pay healthcare surcharge fees of £470 per year, prior to completion of your visa application. Family members accompanying the student (dependents aged 18 or above), usually need to pay the same amount as the student as healthcare fees. This amount depends on how much leave you’re granted.

You need to pay half of the yearly amount if your application includes part of a year that is less than 6 months. You would be required to pay for the full year if your application includes part of a year that is more than 6 months.

Cost of Living

To obtain your student visa, you will be required to provide evidence of financial documents outlining that you have sufficient funds to meet your financial needs, while studying in UK. Overseas Grad will guide you on these requirements and rules around the evidence to cover the costs of your stay, study and living expenses. You will be required to provide your proof of funds to the following extent:

Cost for student only – Evidence of funds to cover your 9 months’ living expenses and your course fee (12 months fee). 9 month living costs are as below-

  • £1,334 per month (for up to 9 months) for courses in London
  • £1,023 per month (for up to 9 months) for courses outside London

If you’re applying for the Doctorate Extension Scheme, and your stay in the UK has been less than 12 months, you need to show evidence of funds totalling to £2,668 for courses in London, or a total of £2,046 for courses outside London.

Cost for partner and child – In addition to the proof of funds for students, you need to show the below funds for your partner and child.

  • £845 a month (for up to 9 months) for courses in London
  • £680 a month (for up to 9 months) for courses outside London
